WELCOME! I'm glad you're keeping up with the adventure.
This is the story. I'm going to do my best to let you in on the World Race from my perspective. I would like to do that with text, photo, and video, but am finding that often you are at the mercy of your internet connection. I will always promise text.
I've been told on many occasions that the World Race is training for real life. As we spend three weeks at a time in each ministry environment we will begin to find a new "home" each month. We will do our best to live among the people we meet, learning to encounter God in their context. As we do we pray that we will have opportunities to share our own faith with them and to disciple them in new ways.
My most recent blogs are listed on the left under the main directional links. In the group of directional links you will also find a link for a full listing of all my blogs. They are listed chronologically and go back to February 2008, as I chronicled my preparation for the Race.
While on field I will be living with five other amazing people of God. The Lord has called us together to be family, to cover the weaknesses of each other and to lift each other up. In this experience, we are made complete by our team. I hope you will spend as much time reading the blogs of these five others (links are on the bottom left) as you do mine. Their perspectives will complement mine to give you a fuller picture of what the Race is like for all of us.
I'm so glad that God has called me to the World Race, and I am even happier that He has called you to this blog. I pray that as He rocks my world this year I will be able to share with you just a little bit of what He is doing in me.
